ALL DANCERS THAT HAVE REQUIRED DANCE SHOES MUST CHANGE INTO THEIR DANCE SHOES – including HIP HOP!
- Acro: no shoes
- Ballet: (Combo and younger – Girls): Pink leather ballet for the younger classes. (Boys): Black leather or canvas ballet; (Levels A and up – Girls): Pink leather or pink canvas ballet. (Boys): Black leather or canvas ballet
- Contemporary & Jazz All Levels: (Combo & Girls): Tan slip-on Jazz, Tan Capezio free forms; or Tan Bloch Pulse Jazz Shoes. (Boys): Black jazz (Competition Jazz shoes are Bloch Pulse Jazz Shoes – depending on dance)
- Creative Movement: ballet shoes (preferred) or barefoot
- Hip Hop – All Levels: black with white sole low, mid, or high-top Converse All-Stars (Chuck Taylors) OR the One Star brand at Target OR similar style low-top black shoes, white laces, with white soles. Clean gym shoes that are NOT worn outside are okay. However, for the recital, the black shoes with white laces & soles are mandatory! NEED TO CHANGE INTO ‘DANCE’ SHOES!
- Lyrical: Tan Lyrical Shoes
- Musical Theatre: Tan slip-on Jazz shoes
- Open Technique: Pink ballet shoes or Tan slip-on jazz shoes
- Tap: (Combo and younger): Black Mary Jane Style tap shoes for younger classes; (Levels A and up): Black tie-up or slip-on tap shoes for older classes. Please note that tap shoes for Levels A, B, C, and D can only be purchased at the Southfield location. TAP SHOES MUST BE NAME-BRAND; Bloch, Capezio, Balera, or the Weissman brand we sell are acceptable. Cheap tap shoes put holes in the floor! Let’s help protect the floor by wearing proper footwear!
Please note: combo students require both styles of shoes. Example: Tap/Ballet combo classes need both Tap & Ballet shoes.
Hair Ties: We have hair ties for 25 cents if your child needs them. We will post the 25 cents on your NSB account.
